Dr. Fred Singer, Austrian-born American physicist and emeritus professor of environmental science at the University of VA. Singer trained as an atmospheric physicist and is known for his work in space research, atmospheric pollution, rocket and satellite technology, and is an outspoken critic of the mainstream scientific assessment of global warming. He is the author of several books. Dr. Charles Battig received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, a M.S. in Electrical Engineering, and M.D. degree, all from Tulane University. He was recruited by North American Aviation (Los Angeles) as Principal Scientist in Biomedical Monitoring Systems as part of a life science group in support of the Apollo moon mission (1962-1964). Following his service as Senior Surgeon/ Commander in U.S. Public Health Service stationed at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland in the Biomedical Engineering Branch, Charles went into private practice in Anesthesiology in Los Angeles until his retirement in 1990. Kenneth Haapala of Fairfax, VA is the author of Arctic Air: The Bold Missions of the 109th Airlift Wing. He is Executive Vice- President of the Science and Environmental Policy Project (SEPP), an educational organization founded in 1990 by atmospheric physicist S. Fred Singer.
