| | | | | Dear Robert Bruce, There are several items I wanted to let you know about that are coming up soon. Obviously, all of the House and Senate races along with many local races will be on the ballot on November 8th and we need to be doing all we can to strengthen our majority in the House and win a strong conservative majority in the Senate. While I am not being challenged, there are several competitive races here on the Peninsula and across the state, so be sure to plug into one of these campaigns and let's work together for a great victory in November!
Herman Cain will be at The Family Foundation's annual gala this Saturday night. True the Vote will be hosting two Poll Watcher Training Webinars in the next couple of weeks. See how hackers can take control of voting machines remotely. Americans for Prosperity is offering bus rides to their annual Summit in Washington, D.C. All this and more, below.

True the Vote Training for Virginians Are you concerned about the rise in voter fraud across our nation? Think it can't happen here in Virginia? Consider these few examples (also, speaking of voter fraud, check out the next article and see how easy it is to steal elections using touch screen electronic voting machines):
In April of this year, 3 people were indicted for voter fraud in Arlington, Virginia.
In 2007, former Mayor Ben Cooper was sentenced to 2 years in jail for an election fraud case in Southwest Virginia.
Who can forget 2008? 10 localities statewide had reported voter registration irregularities by July of that year. 3 people were arrested in Hampton and charged with voter fraud.
In April of this year, the Virginia State Board of Elections unanimously voted to issue a Letter of Censure to the Montgomery County Electoral Board and General Registrar for violation of Virginia law that took place on Election Day 2010. Among other things, they allowed 750 unverified voters to use electronic voting machines, making it impossible to later void any ballots cast by ineligible voters.
Voting is a sacred privilege and we must do all we can to actively protect every voter's right to free and fair elections. One great way to help ensure this process is to volunteer as a poll watcher for a candidate or political party. True the Vote, a group from Houston, Texas will be hosting a webinar which has been developed specifically for Virginia to train inside poll watchers this Saturday, 10/8 from 9am-11am and then will repeat the same training session on Tuesday, 10/18 from 7pm-9pm. Note that if you pay for the 1st class, you can sign up for the 2nd class and take it again, free of charge. To sign up, email my husband Roger at roger@familyfoundation.org (I tried to put the links below, but there is a PayPal link that I couldn't get to work, Roger will forward you the original email where you can sign up directly):
October 8 | TRUE the VOTE 2011 VIRGINIA Poll Watcher Training 9:00-11:00 AM Eastern Time This training will be presented via webinar. There is a $10 one time Registration Fee for this class. October 18| TRUE the VOTE 2011 VIRGINIA Poll Watcher Training 7:00-9:00 PM Eastern Time This training will be presented via webinar. There is a $10 one time Registration Fee for this class.

Researchers Hack Voting Machine for $26
If it's not bad enough that we have groups like Acorn and Organizing for America undermining our elections, for $26 and a few minutes inside a voting machine, an individual can now take control of an electronic voting machine remotely and change your vote without your knowledge. Check out the Fox News Report by clicking here.
